Nightmare run on Gold Coast roads as weather causes chaos

Gold Coast motorists are facing a horror run home with the weather contributing to lengthy delays across the city.

A southbound accident on the M1 near Smith St at Gaven has left delays all the way back to Loganholme.

There are also the usual delays through the roadworks between Varsity Lakes and Tugun.

Northbound traffic on the M1 is crawling from Tugun to Reedy Creek.
